Portrait session FAQ's

Where will my session take place?

Most sessions take place at the barn where your horse is boarded, but if you have another location in mind I am up for anything! Just be sure that your horse is comfortable in the location you choose. This includes areas around your barn.

What should I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable in! Feel free to look through my blog or gallery to get inspiration. I also have a board on Pinterest specifically for this! Feel free to send me pictures of your outfit choices or bring a few options to your session, and we can look through them together.

How long does the session last?

Most sessions are between an hour and an hour and a half. We really take the lead from your horse. If they are tired or start to get grumpy, it’s a good indicator that it’s time to wrap it up.

Can I have the digital files?

Digital files of the edited photos are included in your session fee in either low resolution for sharing on social media or high resolution suitable for printing depending on which package you select. I also offer a variety of print products for purchase so you can have a keepsake that is ready to be displayed in your home!

Floral session FAQ's

What if my horse is afraid of the flowers?

A lot of horses are a little shy around the flowers at first, but we just take it slow and allow them time to get used to them before putting them on. If you a overly sensitive horse, it may be best to skip the flowers.

What if it rains?

We can still do black backgrounds as long as we have access to a barn isle. If the weather is severe or extremely uncooperative we will reschedule or cancel the shoot.

What if I have to cancel my session?

You may cancel your session; however, the session fee is non-refundable as the flowers are paid for in advance. If we cancel due to weather, the shoot will be rescheduled.

What if my horse tries to eat the flowers?

It's ok! Every horse tries to snack at some point! We just keep a close eye and are ready to interfere if they try to take a bite!
